Last night at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards, Justin Timberlake returned to the Grammy stage with a full-band performance of his latest hit ‘Suit & Tie’ — complete with a cameo from Jay-Z himself. Since the song was released a little more than a week ago, it’s gone on to immediate popularity, although the initial reviews weren’t quite as resounding as they were for ‘Sexy Back’ years ago. We were immediately feeling the Timbaland-produced track, but for the naysayers, last night’s performance might have shut them up. The performance began with ‘Suit & Tie’ but seemlessly melded into the debut of ‘Pusher Love Girl,’ which we’re sure will appear on his upcoming album The 20/20 Experience.
Frank Ocean also took to the stage for the Grammys and performed one of our favorite tracks from Channel Orange, ‘Forrest Gump.’ Accompanied by a video screen and some dope camera tricks, Ocean brought the house down with this performance. The timing couldn’t have been better considering the release of the ‘Forrest Gump’ video is coming soon. Stick with AHOODIE for that one.
And before all of that madness took place, Miguel and Wiz Khalifa took the stage to present the award for Best Country Solo Performance but gave us a quick taste of their ‘Adorn’ remix. Catch the striped duo’s performance above. And don’t forget to let us know in the comments which of the performances were your favorite.
