While classic colorways from the original Jordan “legacy models” will remain popular until the end of time, there’s no denying Jordan is cranking out some non-OG heat this year. First came the “Toro Bravo” Jordan 4, and now the Air Jordan 5 “Bel-Air” Retro is set to cause hysteria later this fall. Inspired by the ’90s series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, these appropriately-named retros are heat.
Packing the perfect mix of neons and neutrals, the Air Jordan 5 “Bel-Air” Retro features a color palette based on the show’s logo as well as the wild fashion its star, Will Smith, was often seen rocking. Both shoes feature alternating colors on each shoe with a purple midsole with plenty of “ice” getting the look started at the base. The left shoe includes pink “shark teeth” along the midsole while the right shoe includes bright blue teeth with lime speckles. The grey upper gives the Air Jordan 5 “Bel-Air” Retro a splash of calm amidst the eye-catching accents. Alternating embroidereds 23s along the heel feature the same color combos as the “shark teeth” to keep the alternating styles going. Black eyelets and lace toggles finish off the upper with a black tongue and alternating neon pink and volt jumpman logos on the left and right shoes. The last hit of “wow” comes from the liner, which is about as early-’90s as it gets with all of the neon hues coming together in a very “Fresh Prince” pattern.
