Detroit native Josh Spooner built this model city out of various found obects… all that from an idea conceived by a friend for the trailer of an untitled film!
“This concept festered in my brain for a little while, until I got the urge to do a scale layout of a ‘skyline of tomorrow.’ The obvious inspirations for this model are the greats of fantastic cinema, Blade Runner, Metropolis, The Fifth Element, etc. I wanted it to have the not-so-bright future look. A place where technology has advanced, while man continues down his path of spoiling the land to gain material gratification.”
The project began in March 2007, and one year later, Josh and all the assistants who’ve contributed to its development consider it unfinished.
* Look for the coca-cola sign in one of the pictures!
Damn that must’ve taken a while to build.
Not fashion related but cool never the less :)
