Phenomenon, the Japanese-designed brand that brought you one of our fave Varsity Jackets of the year, is following suit in the “formal is the new casual” fad phenomenon, ha!

Phenomenon recently dropped a few snazzy pieces as part of its Spring/Summer ’09 collection. Their Kung-Fu Tuxedo, is exactly what it sounds like, a tuxedo-style jacket with a kung-fu style belt. The jacket has a matching pair of “tuxedo shorts”. The shorts are adorned with a sort of belt which looks like those triangular flags you see at used car dealerships. Along with the jacket and shorts they’ve released a few leather bow-tie necklaces, which we’re pretty sure Pharrell and the BBC boys will be the first to buy.

Wearing this to the Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li premiere, might be the ONLY place you won’t look ridiculous in this get-up.
