It must be hard, being one of a handful of artists to “make it” out of his state (Michigan) alone. Imagine being from Africa an rapping to old white folks. Now reverse that thought and forget about it, because it had nothing to do with Michigan. Being from a small town(you like how I got back on topic right?), I can feel the emotion he has about his state in each song. It also gives me great pride in where I’m from, and how far I can go in life.
