For some reason, when I hear the word “paint”, I never tend to think of the liquid composition used to colour walls and ceilings, but instead my mind jumps straight to the incredibly basic graphics program built in to every PC since the dawn of time. Bizarre, I know, but this may have something to do with the amount of time I took mastering this software during my early office years. It may not sound impressive, but when you can seamlessly paste your manager’s head onto the lead singer of Wheatus’ body, so well in fact that some people don’t even realise you’ve swapped their faces, you know you’re the don of Paint! Yes, it may of ended with a formal disciplinary hearing, but it was awesome at the time.
So on the topic of awesome paint-ness, have a goosey at Stüssy’s latest t-shirt drop. The collection consists of three trademark logos that have been given some hyper-colour treatment. The closest analogies I can think of is it’s either like looking at your favourite Stüssy tee while on acid or putting it in the wash with non-colourfast synthetics. Personally, I wouldn’t advise either.
The tees have only recently been released here in the UK and can be picked up from Bored of Southsea.
