While I don’t always post about tech stuff here on Ahoodie, I keep my eyes peeled for stuff our readers might enjoy. If you’re reading this on a Mac, you might enjoy this: the newest version of OSX, called Lion, has released this past hour. It’s the first release to not be sold in stores, and can only be downloaded from the App Store on your Mac. If you don’t know what’s so great about it, prepare yourself. There’s over 250 new features, but unfortunately I can’t cover ‘em all. You can check out the rest of ‘em at Apple’s website.
Like I said, OSX Lion comes with a lot of hot new features. Launchpad, for example, is like the app screen you see on an iPhone or iPod Touch. Now the Mac has apps as well, so you can now browse your apps in this way. There’s also this thing called Resume, which is like the hibernate function on your computer, except you can turn off your computer with apps open and they’ll open back to the same place you were when you turn your Mac back on. There’s also an autosave feature that saves every document automatically, so you’ll never have to click that floppy disk icon again. Lastly, you have Mission Control, which is Spaces and Exposé combined, you should know what those are if you use a Mac.
Click here to download OSX Lion, an upgrade is only $29.
