Swizz Beatz’s first collaboration with Reebok, the Kamikaze, has been a huge success. The first run of 84 and the second run of 1000 sold out completely. I’ve told you guys about numerous new colorways spotted in the wild, and even new shoe models. Tomorrow a general release will happen, this time with a Carbon/Steel/White/Feather Blue colorway, and Black/Tin Grey/Excellent Red. These, in my opinion, are the dopest colorways to release since the debut colorway.
The grey shoe has a similar use of materials and color on the upper as the Cool Grey 11s. The upper is grey nubuck, with a patent leather toebox edging. A lighter grey is used on the underlay, just some healthy contrast. That grey turns to white on the rather impactful midsole, which consists of three mountainous figures. The white is just the outline of the sole, however. Inside that to finish off the kick is the Feather Blue used on the Hexalite bubbles (a lightweight cushioning system) and the Reebok logo on the tongue tag, not a color commonly used with grey but looks pretty damn sick.
The second shoe is not as bright, but has more of a street look. The upper has black tumbled leather and mesh as an underlay, with nubuck as the toebox. Patent leather rounds out the edges of the toebox, same scheme as the first shoe. A grey midsole is used, with black Hexalite bubbles. Red accents the shoe on the sockliner, eyelets, and the huge R on the tongue tag.
