The second shipment of Crooks and Castles is in. This is mostly an accessory drop, consisting of a lot of hats, with a jacket and two pairs of jeans.
The hats consist of fitteds, snapbacks, and beanies. I respect C&C so much more for the fact they kept fitteds going; I still like to rock fitteds and it’s good to see a brand not sell out for a trend. Eight fitteds and three snapbacks are releasing, with the typical use of classic logos like the Chain C, the Monogram, and the Trouble Maker; you probably know those. The Chain C is coming in a CRAPLOAD of colors as usual, so dig in dude. Some new logos are coming out as well, like the Scorpion C, which is a C made to look like a scorpion’s tail, stinger and all. There’s also a varsity styled fitted with the name of the brand in an arched design. A retro looking snapback is also releasing, with a “Crooks Co.” design embroidery. As far as beanies go, there’s only one, but offered in three colors (black, grey, and navy). Â This one has an embroidered scorpion on the headband, complete with a chain C Crooks and Castles cuff.
The jacket of the season seems to be a nylon jacket, and is simple on the front, with slit pockets and a black collar and cuffs. On the rear is the biggest Medusa Head I’ve ever seen, sitting on a pedestal. This is surrounded by a laurel wreath, and the whole design is embroidered in black. This embodies the brand perfectly, being shady and sleek at the same time.
Lastly, two denim pants are being offered – the Torrance and the Inglewood. The former piece is being offfered in a raw or faded wash, with subtle rips throughout, a leather patch,a and a Chain C screenprint on the back pocket. The Inglewood comes in raw only, and is completely plain, except for the leather patch and cotton patch on the pocket.
