There’s a first time for everything; your first word, your first Big Mac, your first time with a lady of the night, only to find out it’s a man and then get chased down the road by her “daddy” because you refused to pay. For me, this is the first time I’ve ever written about jewellery. It’s not that I don’t like jewellery, it’s just I’ve never had a good enough reason to pen an article on it. But things have changed and I’m gonna pop my cherry right in front of your very eyes.

The good people over at NorthSkull have sent me three of their latest “Shamballa” style bracelets, that are absolutely huge at right now! There are many different designs in the range (including a ridiculously fly Swarovski crystal piece) but I was lucky enough to receive the Black Onyx, Red TigerEye and Blue Lapis bracelets. Well, where to start?

Quality- As I said, I don’t go potty for just any old jewellery, but I was pleasantly surprised by their very high standard. I’d seen pictures of them previously, but it’s not until you get it in your hands (or on your wrist) that you really notice how good it looks. The materials used give a good indication of the quality; for instance, the onyx used in the black bracelet is sourced from Brazil due to it’s excellency. No matter what angle the light catches the stones, the reflection looks incredible, highlighting every shine and shimmer of the piece. Meaning that while it looks great in the box, it looks unbelievably fresh when you’re wearing it.

Attention to detail- It may look great from a distance, but when you get up close and personal with the bracelet (not in that way) you notice all the hard work that’s gone into designing and producing this jewellery. The stand-out piece on all of the bracelets has to be the silver skull. Located in the middle is a silver ball which has a very intricate etching of a skull on one side. This is the most noticeable difference from other shamballa style bracelets on the market. Personally, I love it. It adds real character to each piece and hey, it’s a NorthSkull bracelet, so it makes sense. Other nice touches are the NorthSkull silver plate on the rear and the branded silver balls on the end of the adjustable drawstrings, which makes getting this bracelet on and off easier than hacking into someone’s phone (or is that just us Brits?)

You look cool- Honestly, when I opened up the box, I did think to myself “can I pull this off”? The answer was yes. It’s not because I’m awesome (although I am) but it turns out 99% of people look cooler with these on. One of my friends tried one on, 2 minutes later we had to call the police because a harem of beautiful women were in a dog-pile on top of him and he gets claustrophobic! Impressive. Plenty of stars have been seen rocking the shamballa style bracelets such as Jay-Z, Rick Ross and Chris Brown, but now we can add Butchaz to that list. If you’re thinking of treating your wrist in the near future, pick one of these bracelets and not that other dirty thing you’re thinking of right now.

The NorthSkull Shamballa Style bracelets are available now, worldwide.
