Normally when I do one of these music posts, I put up one track with some accompanying visuals but this week is a little different. I’ve found so much super duper music on the net this week that I thought it would be fitting to post them all as one big happy family and hopefully motivate you to make it through the rest of the week without strangling your teacher/lecturer/boss/pet stick insect who just won’t do that backflip you’ve been teaching him. Let’s get into it….
 Kid Cudi – Rap Hard
Mr. Rager is my favourite artist ever (as proclaimed HERE and HERE) so it’s no doubt that some previously unreleased material is enough to excite me within an inch of my life. It has been reported than this mixtape ‘Rap Hard’ was recorded before A Kid Named Cudi and has been dated between 2000-2002. For me; any Cudi is good Cudi, but the fact that he was 17 (aka the same age as me) when he made these tracks is unreal.
Below you can find my favourite song from the tape – Party All The Time – and you can CLICK HERE to download the whole mixtape…legally, of course.
Drake – Take Care
I’m not entirely sure where you’ve been if you missed the fact that Drake leaked/dropped his second album ‘Take Care’ last week. Oh, you’ve been recreating the film 127 Hours and now only have one arm? I guess you’re excused then. But nonetheless – it happened. And it was good.
All comparisons with Watch The Throne and every other rap album to drop this year aside, it was tough picking my favourite track from the album but after much deliberation, I went for Make Me Proud, ft. Nicki Minaj, who kills the track, as per usual with her features (I guess all I can say about this fact is that ‘I’m so, I’m so, I’m so, I’m so proud of her’).
Rihanna ft. Jay-Z – Talk That Talk
Just to be clear from the get-go: I’m not all that fond of Rihanna……..well, her music but I’ll make an exception here, considering Jay-Z is involved. There’s really not as much to say about this one, mainly because I know/care little about Rihanna but I guess this is off her up and coming album – Talk That Talk – which is set for release on the 21st of December.
Enjoy the final track of this post below (and the picture of Rihanna herself at the top).
What was your favourite track in this post?
