Following in the literal footsteps of classic Nike shoes such as the Air Max 90, Air Force 1 and of course the Dunk, the mid-top Blazer is the next shoe to be wrapped in suede and vacuumed – using what Nike are calling ‘VacTech’. The majority of shoes produced using VT are pretty much the exactly the same as the originals, give or take a few stitches but it’s the colourways that make them; tweed, wheat suede, a foamposite-esque white and a whole host of bright colours have all been seen before.

This particular colourway isn’t exactly anything special compared to the aforementioned colours and materials but whilst VacTech made other shoes over-complicated, it reduces the Blazer down to the simple and clean shoe it is. As with past releases, the upper is suede and completely tonal in dark grey, making it the perfect dark shoe for this holiday season and also for matching with pretty much anything – even those 1970s flares your dad gave you as a hand-down.
