collageow BRANDS: Ghouls & Ghosts

Boo was always the underdog in the Mario series. He got clobbered in Super Mario 64, was the perpetual underdog (and the namesake of one of the most annoying and poorly designed boards) in Mario Party 8, and had his entire race discriminated against in Luigi’s Mansion. The famous ghost never really made it as a lovable character. His plight is only matched by the most underappreciated support character in the history of video games, Luigi. His irrelevance has created a precedent of apathy towards our ghoulish friends that is not only ghost-cist, but just plain douchey. Can the real badass ghosts please stand up?!

Here to take the place of the disparate ghosts of the past are the Nottingham-born Ghouls & Ghosts. They’re a family that has gone through some tough times (especially with the whole dying thing), but they’re here to spread the joy of philosophically debatable existence to the masses.

Currently present: Sad Ghost. SG had lots of friends when he was an H2O and carbon-based lifeform. Now he’s so sad and lonely; his case of blue balls has spread, covering the entiriety of his phallus-shaped body. Now a spectral being, all he wants is a hug that he doesn’t have to pay for. Look at that face. Look at it. I know you want to hug him to bits. Well, it’ll cost you £20, because that’s how much it costs for the t-shirt, fool. You can only have him in spirit. This isn’t some Dolly the Sheep bullshit.

Get him at the Ghouls and Ghosts e-shop.
