Sung to the tune of Will Smith’s “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”
Nowwwwww…here’s a little story, all about how
Choncordia brand clothes, is about to become a cash cow!
I’d like to take a minute
Just sit right there…
I’ll tell you how they became masters of performing the Christ Air!
In beautiful Peru, a skateboard in hand
At La Rampa Skatepark, skating became their first command.
Chillin’ out, rollin’, doin’ Ollies, actin’ all cool
Doing kickflips and jumping 6 boards became the golden rule!
When a couple of guys said ‘hey let’s start a group
Discordia became the name of that little troupe!
They skated all around Lima, and down to San Antonio,
And met their only competition, their name? El team Chongo! The years went by, they grew up and became men,
They decided to start a business, the Choncordia skateboard brand.
Based in L.A. designing and distributing from the USA
to several other countries some close, some far away. They sucked it up, started working about seven or eight.
Made designing great gear an everyday affair.
Now they look at their business, they’re finally there
And that’s how they became, the future kings of skatewear!
The prints on Choncordia clothes are repeated on the fabric, and many are made of odd little drawings that bear a slight resemblance to some of KAWS’ quirky characters. Also lacking in originality, the Choncordia hoodies borrow BAPE’s all-the-way-up zipper style but, it gives the garments a simple and clean over-all look and also makes the vibrant character designs stick out nicely (specially when driving with the hood zipped all the way up). Despite these similarities Choncordia clothing definitely stands on its own. Its more contemporary colours and less busy prints appeal to a larger audience. So when the Choncordia Skateboard Co. brand hits your neighbourhood, and you’re the last one to get one of their Toshimi Series hoodies; DON’T SAY WE DIDN’T WARN YA!!!
