Nigo’s a no go?!

Believe it or not, Nigo has relinquished his role as President and Director of the A Bathing Ape empire he built with his own tiny, little, monkey-hands!

Though he will remain the majority owner of Nowhere Co. Ltd, Nigo is giving up his management responsibilities in order to focus on the creative side of the business. Mr.BAPE will continue to design for the A Bathing Ape brand, as well as for BBC/Ice Cream where he is co-owner and head designer.

Nigo told Women’s Wear Daily that “I intend to explore the possibilities of taking on new projects on a freelance basis.” The Bathing Ape brand has 24 stores worldwide and generates well over $70million in retail sales every year, so we’re pretty sure he’ll do just fine.
